It's a very cold day, and you find yourself in Patagonia... you alone and your torn ligament in your ankle that happened only two days prior. You are hobbling. You are in pain. However.. you refuse to miss the opportunity to climb the Perito Moreno Glacier. 🗻
You get there and tell your guide you're semi-broken... he advises you not to climb, you tell him you have enough painkillers to deal with the aftermath 😉 He smiles wide, and tells you 'ok, you have to be in the front to set the pace' as it's single file the whole way up. You beg him to let you go last, so you don't slow everyone down. But nope! So off you go, and now you're pushing even harder because you don't want to be a slow poke.
Drumroll... you did it, and get a shot of Whisky to celebrate! And it was an experience you'll never forget nor regret... despite the 6 month recovery it took for your ankle to heal haha!!
